Between the green meadow, the passing water and the radiant sun, friends and family gather for a once-a-year unique day: July 27th, Love Family Park. And it’s nothing but real magic when Sven Väth plays one of his legendary closing sets between industrial backdrop and sunset.
In 1996 the Love Family Park – back then staged in Hanau – invited electronic music lovers to celebrate all together in a family like atmosphere for the very first time. Since then, artists such as Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Solomun, Underworld, Deichkind, Ricardo Villalobos, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Loco Dice, Luciano, DJ Koze, Seth Troxler and many more have been the soundtrack to this family gathering under the sun.
Since then, a lot has happened: After a stopover in Mainz, the Rüsselsheim Mainvorland is the new home one of the longest-serving and largest one-day open-air festival for electronic music in Germany. The Rüsselsheim kick-off event 2018 – “Back at Main” – led to a veritable rush of visitors and the certainty that the Love Family Park remains a set date in the celebration calendar of the electronic music scene even after more than 20 years since its inception.
Setting up and plugging in from morning till sunset, Love Family Park now attracts techno-heads from across the continent, drawn in by a cutting-edge lineup headlined each year by festival resident Sven Väth, or “Papa Väth”, as he’s now known.
Alongside those famous names, expect the chance to discover techno’s up-and-coming talent, and be the first to hear the genre’s newest sounds before anyone else. Surrounded by 12 hours of house, techno and minimal, 16 international djs and live acts are playing the livesets along the course of the sun on three stages this year.
Rolling from day deep into the night, Love Family Park 2019 offers up a plethora of electronic music’s artisans in the name of: Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Barnt, Boris Brejcha, Butch, Charlotte De Witte. Chris Liebing, Jamie Jones, Karotte, Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, Pan-Pot, Peggy Gou, Ricardo Villalobos, SHDW & Obscure, Shape, Solomun, and of course Sven Väth.
