The Beat Hotel is a four-day festival on the outskirts of Marrakech, happening between 19th and 22nd of March 2020. Returning for its second edition, The Beat Hotel Marrakech promises immersion and revelry anew. With cross-cultural programming on the menu, a boutique hotel resort in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains plays host to genre-spanning DJ sets, sunset live shows, mouth-watering global cuisine and well-being activities. Set in a 27-acre boutique resort and built around a labyrinth of swimming pools, palm trees and cacti, the Beat Hotel presents a long weekend of live music, DJs, one-off culinary collaborations and talks programme featuring some of today’s great minds and voices.
A festival philosophy connecting people’s love of intriguing culture with their ritual need for great music and dancing and their sensory passion for fine food and drink, the Beat Hotel touches down in Morocco for its second edition on 19-22 March 2020. The line-up boasts heroes like Floating Points (live), Kindness, John Talabot, Kate Tempest or Gilles Peterson. Taking place 15 minutes outside the city, and set across a 27-acre, palm tree-laden boutique resort, music ranges from daytime pool sessions, live shows, label showcases and late-night villa parties featuring local artists alongside international guests. Guests can also enjoy one-off culinary collaborations and a talks programme featuring some of today’s great minds and voices.
The original Beat Hotel was a small, run-down “class 13” hotel in the Latin Quarter of Paris, gaining fame as the home of the extended family of Beat writers and artists who stayed there in the late 1950s and early ’60s. Taking inspiration from its namesake, and acting as a welcoming sanctuary for anyone who stumbled inside, The Beat Hotel opened its doors at Glastonbury Festival in 2011.
Combining local acts alongside internationally known artists, The Beat Hotel returns with a blend of music, culture, food and hospitality defining a new breed of festival in a unique destination. Their motto? Follow your inner moonlight – don’t hide the madness!
