Houghton – the UK festival curated by Craig Richards – was never planned to be ordinary. But few could have predicted just how special the four-day event would turn out to be, year after year. Reaching the 3rd edition in 2019, some people are suggesting it might be one of the best festivals in Europe.
Taking place in the idyllic countryside of Norfolk, in an area surrounded by a lake and woodland, the festival developed to be an attraction for being much more than another rave in a field. The range of things you could do at Houghton is spanning — life drawing, record shopping, yoga – and goes far beyond the scope of the usual musical festival offering.
